Objective To investigate the current situation of negative emotions of medical staff in sanatoriums, and explore the effect of humanized intervention on improving negative emotions. Methods A total of 98 medical workers working in a nursing home from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the research subjects. General data of the medical workers were collected. All medical workers were surveyed on negative emotions using the simplified Chinese version of depression-anxiety-stress scale. The negative emotion, psychological load score, satisfaction rate and incidence of negative emotion were compared between the two groups before and after the humanized intervention. Results Among the 98 nursing home medical staff, 42 had negative emotions, accounting for 42.86% (42/98). Among them, 11 cases were depressed, accounting for 11.22%. There were 27 cases of anxiety, accounting for 27.55%; There were 19 cases of stress, accounting for 19.39%. After humanized intervention, all the negative emotion scores of medical staff were lower than before implementation, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). After humanized intervention, the load perception, self-evaluation and total score of medical staff were decreased compared with those before implementation, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The satisfaction rate of medical staff after humanized intervention was higher than that before implementation, and the incidence of negative emotion was lower than that before implementation, with statistical significance (P<0.05). Conclusion There are some negative emotion problems among medical staff in nursing homes. Humanistic intervention can effectively improve the negative emotion, psychological load score, satisfaction rate and incidence of negative emotion of medical staff, which has high clinical application value.
