Objective To analyze the current situation and influencing factors of job burnout among airport staff in Changsha, so as to provide a basis for improving the working status of airport staff, ensuring the safety of airport operation and improving the quality of service. Methods From September to October 2023, a questionnaire survey was conducted among all staff in an airport in Changsha. The Chinese version of the Maslach Burnout Inventory-General Survey (MBI-GS) was used to assess job burnout, and logistic regression was used to analyzethe influencing factors of job burnout. Results The total score of job burnout was 2.20 (1.40, 3.00), and the detection rate of job burnout was 73.78 % (954/1 293). Compared with the <30 age group, the 40~ <50 age group (OR=0.589, 95%CI: 0.359-0.964) and the ≥50 age group (OR=0.413, 95%CI: 0.218-0.781) had lower risk of job burnout. Compared with the work department of non-contact passengers (OR=1.354, 95%CI: 1.005-1.822), the work department of contact passengers had a higher risk of job burnout. Compared with mental work, half of mental and physical work (OR=1.687, 95%CI: 1.143-2.489) had a higher risk of job burnout. Married (OR=0.559, 95%CI: 0.371-0.843) had a lower risk of job burnout. Hypertension (OR=2.493, 95%CI: 1.700-4.593) was associated with higher risk of job burnout. Conclusion Older age and being married may be protective factors for job burnout of airport staff. The job position of passengers, the type of work with half mental and half physical strength, and hypertension may be the risk factors for job burnout. There is a high degree of job burnout among airport staff in Changsha, and effective measures should be taken to ensure operational efficiency and service quality.
